We welcomed several Montgomery County Public School high schoolers during the week of April 11, 2022 for Alternative Spring Break!
It was a beautiful and busy week, and students assisted with lots of different projects, including planting onions, parsley, broccoli, and swiss chard; preparing beds for more transplanting; and transferring baby tomato, pepper, and eggplant seedlings into larger pots. Here are some photos of everyone transferring the seedlings into larger pots, called "potting on."
Here, everyone is cleaning up.
We accomplished a lot and had a great time doing it! THANK YOU to the MCPS students for all their wonderful help during our 2022 Alternative Spring Break!!
