It’s #MeetTheFarmerMonday – Meet Melissa! Melissa started working at Red Wiggler Community Farm in spring 2015 as Facilities Manager and was promoted to Farm Manager in winter 2017. As Farm Manager, Melissa wears many hats. She coordinates the work of the farm with our programs, fitting the tasks of vegetable production in with our overall mission. For the past 15 years, Melissa has volunteered at Frederick County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Program where she is now one of the volunteer photographers, helps with communications, and does whatever other odd jobs can be squeezed in around vegetable farming. Melissa is also a perpetual student, currently taking classes at Hood College. Thanks to Melissa for being a part of the Red Wiggler team, and if you see Melissa, be sure to say hi to her!
