Individual Volunteers
Volunteering Overview
During the main growing season (April through November), volunteers are needed Monday - Friday, from 9-12 pm or 1-3 pm. Evening, weekend, and remote volunteering opportunities are infrequent and would be listed on our specialized volunteering page. Volunteers under the age of 14 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Orientations
All interested volunteers must come to the farm for an individual orientation before starting to volunteer.
Check availability and sign up for an orientation slot here.
If none of the orientation times work with your schedule, email volunteer@redwiggler.org to find an alternative. Please note that volunteering in 2024 will last through mid- to late-November, and pick back up in late winter/ early spring 2025. February-March orientation dates will be posted in January 2025.
Steps to Volunteer
- Sign up for and attend an on-farm volunteer orientation (see above)
- Read our Volunteer Policies
- Complete a paper volunteer application (see link in green resources box above) and bring it with you to your orientation
- 18 or older? Submit your federal background check here
Once you've completed all the above steps, check out available shifts on GivePulse, our volunteering website. Please note that registering for a shift on GivePulse does NOT mean you are approved to come. You must receive an explicit approval email.
Finished for the season? Complete your volunteer survey here.
