New in 2024: Red Wiggler Apprenticeship Program

About the Program

Red Wiggler Community Farm Apprenticeship Program is a paid care farming and leadership development program, launching in the 2024 season. Apprentices work primarily with Grower staff and field volunteers on farming tasks, and support all five Red Wiggler programs.

Level 1 Apprenticeship

No prior farm experience or knowledge is necessary! We just ask for a desire to learn, work, and develop leadership skills outdoors in an inclusive community while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.

Level 1 Apprentices have the possibility of advancing to a Level 2 Apprenticeship with additional leadership and educational opportunities.

Level 2 Apprenticeship

The Level 2 Apprenticeship is designed for those with 1-2 farming seasons under their belt, and/or for a returning Level 1 Apprentice. Level 2 Apprentices are ready to lead small teams in farming tasks, as well as dive deeper into a certain area of focus -  think irrigation, Care Farming, CSA/Market management, or farm education.
