Red Wiggler Apprenticeship Program
About the Program
The Red Wiggler Care Farm Apprenticeship Program is a paid care farming and leadership development program. Apprentices work primarily with Grower staff and field volunteers on farming tasks, and support all five Red Wiggler programs.
Level 1 Apprenticeship
No prior farm experience or knowledge is necessary! We just ask for a desire to learn, work, and develop leadership skills outdoors in an inclusive community while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
Level 1 Apprentices have the possibility of advancing to a Level 2 Apprenticeship with additional leadership and educational opportunities.
Level 2 Apprenticeship
The Level 2 Apprenticeship is designed for those with 1-2 farming seasons under their belt, and/or for a returning Level 1 Apprentice. Level 2 Apprentices are ready to lead small teams in farming tasks, as well as dive deeper into a certain area of focus - think irrigation, Care Farming, CSA/Market management, or farm education.
