Join us for a morning in the flower garden! Morgan Patterson, a long-time Frederick flower farmer, will teach us the ins and outs of flower harvesting and post-harvest care, so that you can get the most out of your time in the PYO. Learn why harvesting the right way benefits you, and benefits the plants too! Finally, get some design tips and practice the art of flower arranging as you design a beautiful bouquet to take home.

We will spend time walking and talking through the cutting garden, while keeping an eye out for blooms and foliage that you want to include in your bouquet. After we learn (and practice) harvesting, we will gather in the Murray Building for some creative time together, learning the tips and techniques that turn a bunch of flowers into a beautiful arrangement.

Participants will each take home a flower bouquet in a mason jar vase, plus handouts reminding them of all the great tips and techniques Morgan had to share.
