Work at Red Wiggler
We offer inclusive employment opportunities that combine purposeful work with hands-on learning in a supportive farm environment. Whether you’re interested in farming, education, or food access, joining our team means contributing to a vibrant, values-driven workplace rooted in respect, collaboration, and sustainability.
Current Openings
Red Wiggler is not currently hiring for grower positions or year-round staff, but we’re always seeking to make connections with budding care farmers. Visit carefarmingnetwork.org to get connected with other care farms or explore our volunteer opportunities.
Grower Program
At the heart of our farm is a commitment to create meaningful work for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our stable and flexible work environment provides jobs where our growers can learn, contribute, and thrive while growing and distributing fresh, healthy food to our community.
Apprentice Program
An apprenticeship at Red Wiggler Care Farm is more than just a seasonal job—it’s a hands-on learning experience rooted in community, inclusion, and learning. Apprentices work alongside our growers and volunteers to support all of our programs, gaining real-world experience in sustainable agriculture while developing leadership skills in a collaborative farm environment.
Level One Apprentice
No farm experience? No problem. If you’re eager to learn, ready to work outdoors, and excited to be part of a diverse and welcoming team, Level One is for you. You’ll build foundational skills in farming and teamwork, with the potential to grow into a Level Two Apprenticeship the following season.
Level Two Apprentice
For those with at least one season of farming experience (or for returning Level One Apprentices), Level Two offers more leadership opportunities. You’ll help guide small teams, take initiative on farming tasks, and deepen your knowledge in areas like irrigation, CSA management, education, or care farming.

“The ultimate goal of farming is not the growing of crops, but the cultivation and perfection of human beings.”
