2021 CSA Pick-up Guidelines

As a certified organic farm, we have always grown with the health and safety of our customers and workers as a priority. Now, we are asking you to help us follow state and county guidelines as we all work together to keep our community healthy and safe through the pandemic. Please read the following guidelines carefully, and feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

We ask that customers:

Limit the number of people coming to the farm to 3 individuals per share. All farm visitors must wear a face covering at the pick-up and in the pick-your-own (PYO) gardens. Curbside pick-up is available. If you prefer curbside pick-up, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate you. Please email csa@redwiggler.org for assistance.

When you arrive:

Drive slowly and spread out by utilizing all 3 parking areas. Put your mask on before you get out of the car, and wear it for the entire time you are here. If you see a line in the pick-up area, go to the PYO, take a short walk, or wait in your vehicle.

Pick-Up:

Check-in with the greeter at the barn with your name, and stand by the markers to maintain social distancing while in the line. Wash or sanitize your hands before selecting your produce. In our market-style pick-up, you will follow the signs, stopping at each table to quickly select your items. Please follow the directions of the CSA staff to ensure a smooth pick-up.

Pick-Your-Own herbs and flowers (PYO):

Please wash your hands at one of the handwashing stations before entering the PYO. Sanitized scissors will be provided; please take clean scissors and return scissors to the basket labeled "used". You are welcome to bring your own scissors or clippers to the PYO. To maintain a safe distance between other customers, stay at least one aisle and bed apart from other pickers, or 8 feet from customers in the same aisle. If your family is in the PYO together (limit 3 people), please remain together as a non-distancing unit.

Compost:

Before you leave, place your full compost bucket in the wood and wire hutch and retrieve a clean bucket  To reduce our staff handling of the buckets, please be careful to remove stickers and rubber bands from food scraps before discarding. Due to the nature of our compost system, please do not put any compostable or biodegradable bags, straws, or plastic ware in the farm compost containers. For a detailed compost how-to, read RWCF COMPOST GUIDELINES.

Communication:

The weekly newsletter will be online only. Please read the weekly email and newsletter for COVID-response policy updates, share information, and PYO information. The newsletter is also a great resource for recipes. You can find newsletters from the current and past seasons here: redwiggler.org/csa-newsletters/

We expect everyone to follow all state and county guidelines including staying home when sick, wearing a mask, and practicing social distancing. Everyone picking up a share must comply with these guidelines and the procedures listed above. We will review and adjust our policies as state and county guidelines change.

If you have any questions or would like to set up a curbside pick-up please email csa@redwiggler.org for assistance.

Thank you for helping to keep everyone safe and healthy, and we look forward to seeing you at the farm!
